London puck festival : DIY
As I told you this morning, the punks are really fond of DIY. And for this year’s festival, a load of people decided to be a part of the festival more than by witnessing it, if there’s some band, they play in the streets, we can see some painters tagging, some did even create some kind of ephemeral DIY shop. It’s a table in the middle of the street, or in a shed with glue, scissors, markers, pencils, and you just bring something (paper, old clothes, pencils, fabric…) and everyone brings something and you have a load of material so you can create new things using the old ones, share ideas, and so much more. I love those, because it’s ecological, cheap, people are really friendly, and a punk artist called Maggie ever showed me how to personalize jeans. She did those:
And helped me to do those : (it’s not really punk, I know…)
As you can see, punk is way more than the grinchy people that dress like Monster High Dolls and believe in “NO FUTURE” everyone believe they are.
